I wrote about the mullet yesterday so might as well stay on the topic of hair.
Every time Lenah and I watch Keeping up with the Kardashians we wonder about the hair of Bruce Jenner. It’s like it has a life of its own. Or maybe he’s walking through a lot of wind tunnels?
I would strongly advice him to cut it shorter and I know from experience having had quite unruly hair until I decided to keep it shaved and tidy.
Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick and his latest fashion accessory – a cane!
My L and I don’t really watch TV a lot, but on Sunday evenings we usually like to watch E-channel and Keeping up with the Kardashians and it’s many spin-offs. Since we both love New York, “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” is probably the most fun one.
There was recently one episode where Kourtney’s boyfriend and self-proclaimed fashion icon, Scott Disick goes hunting for a new fashion accessory. He finds a cane or as he likes to call it “walking stick” and what follows is a hilarious episode where he tries to justify this slightly weird fashion accessory to Kourtney.
Scott Disick is not the most well-liked person in the world after some violent alcohol-infested outbursts a year or more ago, but I think he seems like a decent guy that has some issues he needs to solve to find himself completely. One thing he doesn’t need to work on is his fashion sense, he’s rocking those suits!

This is part of my new blockbuster blog series Celebrities in Jail and first out is the ever interesting and paparazzi-chased child actress in an adult body Lindsay Lohan. I read on E! online that Lindsay Lohan is only going to get 13-15 days in jail for violating her 2007 DUI (driving under the influence) probation instead of the 90 she was sentenced for (many would have seen her crying in the courtroom on TV by now).
This made E! Online writer Leslie Gornstein write a post called Does Prison Suck Less When You’re a Celebrity? where she states that celebrities are treated with kids’s gloves, don’t have to go through the normal procedures (strip searches and body cavity searches etc) and are first in line when they need the Prison doctor.
This makes me think of an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians where Chloe is sent to jail for a DUI and the whole show is based on the huge drama of this event and then she is released the same day due to overcrowding.
It is a worrying sign that the prisons are overcrowded and another very worrying sign that celebrities get special treatment. This can lead you into thinking that jail time for celebrities is just a lame publicity stunt and not real when we are usually dealing with very real and very broken individuals.
This also leads into a discussion about whether celebrities are worth more than regular people. You could argue that yes they are because they have a certain market value that us regular Joe’s don’t have and even if that is the most fucked up thing you have ever heard it rings pretty true to my ears when you read things like this.
Despite her being worth more than myself (I am jealous!) I wish Lindsay all the best and for her to avoid drinking and driving. If she wants to fuck up her own life it is a shame, but endangering other’s is a crime and should give her serious jail time. And by serious I don’t mean two weeks.
(Yes, I used to watch E! but since they are running re-runs of the same old Playboy Mansion shows all the time, I’ve quit it).
